Our Story

Identity Church is a brand new church in downtown OKC. Located in Deep Deuce, Identity Church gathered for the first time officially on Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022. We began with a small group of people from all different walks of life worshipping together in the conference space of the Aloft Hotel. After one year, we began meeting at Stag Lounge, yes, our church met in a whiskey bar! We are currently looking for a more permanent location within Deep Deuce and the surrounding districts.

God has continued to bless our new church in many ways and we would love for you to be a part of it!

Clay Atchley, Lead Pastor

Clay and Jennifer Atchley have served in fulltime ministry for the last 22 years in Oklahoma City and in Santa Fe, TX, a small town south of Houston. Clay began his ministry as a youth pastor but in November of 2013, he became the lead pastor at Draper Park Christian Church in Oklahoma City.  Throughout his ministry, as a natural evangelist, Clay has been drawn to those far from God, specifically the millennial generation. One of D.L. Moody’s preaching students, C.T. Studd was once asked why he gave up a successful cricket career to go into the mission field, and he responded, “Some wish to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I wish to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.” This is Clay’s heart’s desire, to be on the front lines, reaching a generation that is far from God. Clay quickly realized that the most effective way to accomplish this was start a new church in the heart of Oklahoma City.

Clay and Jennifer have 2 sons that serve on the Identity Church Worship Team; Max (22) and Eli (19).

Chris Everhart, 1st Impressions

Born a military brat, Chris and his family have lived all around the world. Baptized in 2013 after graduating high school in Moore, OK, Chris has been serving the local church every chance he gets. Through his life, he has served and volunteered primarily with children, teenagers, and hospitality teams. Chris recently moved back to Oklahoma after spending a few years living in Joplin, MO, and is excited to help kick off Identity Church! Claiming Oklahoma as his home, Chris has a huge heart for Oklahoma City and for its people, and is eager for an opportunity to pour back into the community he loves. Chris' passion is relationships. Pulling inspiration from Ephesians 2:11-22, Chris believes the church is a home for all people, and works to dedicate his life to bringing people into the family and strengthening connections.
