Identity Church is a brand new church in downtown OKC. Located in Deep Deuce, Identity Church gathered for the first time officially on Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022. We began with a small group of people from all different walks of life worshipping together in the conference space of the Aloft Hotel, where we are still meeting. We are currently looking for a more permanent location within Deep Deuce and the surrounding districts.
God has continued to bless our new church in many ways and we would love for you to be a part of it!
Meet The Team
Clay Atchley, Lead Pastor
Clay and Jennifer Atchley have served in fulltime ministry for the last 20 years in Oklahoma City and in Santa Fe, TX, a small town south of Houston. Clay began his ministry as a youth pastor but in November of 2013, he became the lead pastor at Draper Park Christian Church in Oklahoma City. Throughout his ministry, as a natural evangelist, Clay has been drawn to those far from God, specifically the millennial generation. One of D.L. Moody’s preaching students, C.T. Studd was once asked why he gave up a successful cricket career to go into the mission field, and he responded, “Some wish to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I wish to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.” This is Clay’s heart’s desire, to be on the front lines, reaching a generation that is far from God. Clay quickly realized that the most effective way to accomplish this was start a new church in the heart of Oklahoma City.
Clay and Jennifer have 2 sons that serve on the Identity Church Worship Team; Max (20) and Eli (17).
Chris Everhart, 1st Impressions
Born a military brat, Chris and his family have lived all around the world. Baptized in 2013 after graduating high school in Moore, OK, Chris has been serving the local church every chance he gets. Through his life, he has served and volunteered primarily with children, teenagers, and hospitality teams. Chris recently moved back to Oklahoma after spending a few years living in Joplin, MO, and is excited to help kick off Identity Church! Claiming Oklahoma as his home, Chris has a huge heart for Oklahoma City and for its people, and is eager for an opportunity to pour back into the community he loves. Chris' passion is relationships. Pulling inspiration from Ephesians 2:11-22, Chris believes the church is a home for all people, and works to dedicate his life to bringing people into the family and strengthening connections.
Jamey Whitehorn, Worship Leader
Jamey Whitehorn has served as a Worship Leader for 10 years and served in music ministry teams in multiple churches for over 25 years. Jamey is a retired US Army First Sergeant with the opportunity to lead worship teams during combat deployments while serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Jamey’s desire is to serve by providing an avenue of communication and hearts to the Lord through music and worship, and is excited to be supporting Clay and Jennifer in beginning Identity Church. Colossians 3:15-17 are the verses that have been the message Jamey strives to serve by, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
Jamey is married to his wife, Jamye (yes, you read that correctly), for 33 years and they have two daughters, Leah Maple (30) married to Christopher and parents to Malachi (our first grandchild) and Ariel (27). Ariel also serves on the Identity Church Worship Team.
Dana Whitley, Children's Pastor
Dana Whitley has served in Children’s Ministry for 15 years. She has taught for a majority of that time but for the last few years she has been leading childrens worship at Tuttle Christian Church. She loves having fun and being silly. She is super excited to be a part of Identity Church and meeting new families. Dana’s heart is that all kid’s (and grown ups) know how loved they are by Jesus. She currently teaches PreK.
Dan Morgan, Multimedia & Production
Dan has served in ministry for several years in many different positions. With a strong background in multimedia and production, he loves to apply these skills to spreading the gospel. He uses his knowledge of technology to proclaim the gospel of Christ and to convey His love to the world. He and his family moved back to Oklahoma in 2015 and later joined Identity Church, believing strongly in its mission, and feeling a close bond with the congregation and its leadership.
Dan and his wife Kiesi have been married for 25 years and have two nineteen-year-old twins: Ryan who lives in Washington State and Kayla who resides in Oklahoma City.
